Lai Yek Sum (Eason) is a Malaysian, born in 2004. His piano journey took root at the age of ten. He holds a distinction with Trinity High Scorer Award of 2022 in the Licentiate of Trinity College London (LTCL) Piano Recital under the tutelage of Tammy Lim Suang Yuan. His achievements include the finalists in Steinway Malaysia Youth Piano Competition in 2020, First Prize in Indonesia International Youth Piano Competition and more. Eason is an active musician who once served as a choir member in primary school years as well as a wind orchestra trombonist in high school years. In 2022, he studied with Dr Poom Prommachart in Foundation in Music of University College Fairview. Currently, he is pursuing Bachelor of Music Performance Degree in Sunway University with Dr Poom Prommachart.
