Born in 2006, Sonia Rai is a Malaysian pianist whose musical origins started in another form of art – ballet. Despite this, she began to truly explore the world of piano when studying her Foundation in Music under Dr. Poom Prommachart, in University College Fairview. Since then, she’s been given the opportunity to perform in recitals, participate in masterclasses, as well as take part in emcee work for concerts. Currently, she is expanding her repertoire and continuing her studies under Dr. Poom Prommachart for a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance in Sunway University.
